Free Tutoring for anyone that has a Pasquotank County Library Card 



Job training organizations are work base training programs that allow individuals to learn while they work. These programs are usually geared for the unemployed, underemployed, and the dislocated worker.

College of the Albemarle Workforce Development and Continuing Education

They offer programs of instructions, which is designed for the specific purpose of training persons for employment, upgrading the skills of those presently employed, and retraining others for new employment in occupational fields.



Northeastern Workforce Development Board The Northeastern Workforce Development Board has programs to help adults, youth, and dislocated workers to find jobs and to assist in job training. 252-426-5753
River City CDC YouthBuild The program is designed to provide on-site housing construction and rehabilitation work experience and off-site academic classes, job skills training, leadership development and supportive services for young adults, primarily high-school dropouts with ages ranging from 16 to 24. 252-331-6312

Senior Community Service Employment Program

The nation's oldest program to help low-income, unemployed individuals aged 55+ find work.


Skills, Inc.

The program is designed for people 16 years of age or older and they must have a documented disability.




Library Hours:  Monday, Wednesday & Friday: 8:30 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
Tuesday & Thursday: 8:30 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. | Saturday: 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
