Services We Provide
Community Meeting Room / Group Study Room
Non-profit organizations can meet free of charge in the Community Meeting Room during and after closing hours except during County Holidays and Sundays. You can only meet in the Group Study Room when the Library is open.
Patrons may use the public computers in the computer lab (2nd floor) as well as stand-alone computers throughout the library. Patrons may use our free wireless in the building or outside in the parking lot.
The Library offers free computer classes monthly. Classes range from introductory to advanced level. A monthly class schedule is available at the library, on our Facebook and web page, and the Pasquotank County's website.
Patrons can send and receive faxes for a reasonable fee at the Information Services Desk (2nd floor).
The North Carolina Heritage Room (2nd floor), houses a diverse collection of over 2,900 items which document the history of Pasquotank and Camden counties and surrounding areas.
Patrons may request books that are checked-out, in transit, overdue, on hold, on order, or shown currently available. When the material is available you will receive an email (phone call if you do not have an email address) informing you that you may pick up your material at the library. You have three (3) business days to pick up your items.
Patrons may request items from libraries nationwide through interlibrary loan. There is a small processing fee of $2.50 plus shipping.
Patrons can borrow items from other branches within the East Albemarle Regional Library System.
The Library offers outreach services via the Bookmobile, as well as staff participation in Community Events.
Photocopiers are available on the first and second floor. Depending on the size of the paper, copies are ten to twenty cents per page. A Microfilm reader/printer is available in the Heritage Room (2nd floor). Depending on the size of the paper, copies are ten to twenty cents per page.
The Children's Librarian offers pre-school classes twice a week.
The Library offers children, teens, and multicultural programs throughout the year.
The library has four public printers. There are two printers (one color and one black and white) on the 2nd floor, one black and white printer on the first floor and one black and white printer on the bookmobile. Black and white copies are ten cents per page and color copies are seventy-five cents per page.
The Circulation Supervisor spearheads a Book Discussion Group that meets the second Monday of each month at 4:00pm in the Community Meeting Room (1st floor).
State and federal (North Carolina & US) tax forms are available during tax season (2nd floor).
Patrons may use the telephone in the vestibule free of charge. Long distance calls are prohibited. Calls are limited to three minutes.
The Reference Assistant or the Children's Librarian (depending on the age of the audience) gives tours of the Library to any patron or organization that makes a request. To request a tour please fill out the Tour Request Form.
A typewriter is available for use in the computer lab (2nd floor).
